Becoming a Solution Focused Worker

Wednesday 14 and Thursday 15 November 2018 (two-day course)

Introduction

Solution focused techniques are a set of skills aimed at helping people with mental health difficulties move towards positive change. The techniques place the focus on strengths and resources, not disorder and disability.

Using solution focused techniques helps to identify what already works and builds on this. It is a way of working that is solution, not problem, focused.

The techniques are easy to learn and are applicable when working with individuals, couples and families. This two-day course will give you an opportunity to observe and practise the main techniques in solution focused work.
